The Room Air Leakage Test is performed to verify that the installation and assembly of the room and penetrations are properly sealed, and that all operations are conducted in accordance with the design. This test helps to reduce the room’s air leakage rate to prevent the spread of negative pressure room air to the outside, which reduces the loss of air volume and improves the room pressure control. The test must be conducted by a NEBB TAB Firm Certified or NEBB CP TAB Certified professionals, and the air leakage rate of the room must meet the standard requirements, such as ASTM E779-10, ATTMA TSL1 & TSL2, CGSB 149.10, EN13829, and USACE.
The objective of the air quality test is to perform Cleanroom Performance Testing (CPT) in cleanrooms, negative pressure rooms, and airborne infection isolation rooms, to ensure that the air conditioning systems within these rooms are working efficiently and in accordance with the specified standards. Prior to the CPT, all systems within the room must be completed through the Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) process. The following is a list of testing and measuring procedures that will be performed
